are no currency restrictions in Hong Kong. Foreign currencies
and traveller's cheques can be exchanged at banks, hotels and
private money changers throughout Hong Kong, including the airport.
Banks usually offer the best exchange rates and are generally
open 9am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 9am - 12:30pm, Saturday
and closed Sunday and public holidays. Certain bank services
stop an hour before closing. Automatic teller machines are widespread
and most are connected to major banks around the world. Please
note that some money changers advertise "no selling commission",
but charge a buying commission. Check for all service charges
before handing over your money.
