This tour will show you the scenes behind the normal tourist routes in Kowloon. From local tea culture, knowledge for pearl and jade, to traditions for Chinese wedding and even dim sum making secrets.
The tour starts with a cup of "milk tea" brewed from special recipes at Dai Pai Dong, an open-air Hong Kong-style cafe, which demonstrates the unique dining culture and history in Hong Kong.
Then visit Jade Market which is a great place to buy inexpensive jade ware as memento. Nearby is the local food market to experience.
A stop at the Tin Hau Temple provides a touch of Chinese culture. Locals believe that Tin Hau protects fisher folks from bad storms and they worship her at the temple.
The tour includes a walk along Shanghai Street, one of the oldest streets in Hong Kong. Here are some old shops that sell traditional Chinese kitchen utensils, ceremonial items and traditional Chinese wedding gowns.
A delicious dim sum lunch will be served at a Best of the Best award-winning restaurant followed by a Chinese cooking class. You will have a hands-on experience of dim sum making.
