Hong Kong is hosting the 2009 East Asian Games (EAG), one of Asia's showpiece athletic gatherings featuring top-class athletes from 9 areas from around the region in 23 sports. As a prelude to this major event, you can get into the spirit of the Games by visiting a special gallery inside the Sports Centre in Hong Kong Park. Here you'll find a wide-ranging display of modern art depicting the Olympic Dream. The gallery includes an introduction to the Olympic movement, background information on the EAG, updates on preparations for the event and souvenirs for sale. There is also an intriguing collection of sport memorabilia comprising Olympic torches, medals and posters and EAG venue models. Guided tours are held every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
